Have you ever wanted to fake the perfect almond-shaped eyes? This Turkish Delight-inspired makeup look might just be your new go-to.
Inspired by the golden age of Turkish cinema from the 1960s and '70s, this look is all about a double-lined eyeliner effect that lifts and elongates the eyes, paired with strategically placed nude liner to make them appear bigger and brighter.

1. Brightening the eye with nude liner
I started with a nude or flesh-colored eyeliner, applying it to brighten my waterline. I chose a cream formula because it's not as harsh as white—just more flattering overall.

2. Laying down the eyeshadow base
For eyeshadow, I kept things super simple. I used a matte bone-colored shade on the inner corner, dragging it just a third of the way across the lid and tear duct to brighten and create a focal point.
A quick tip: make sure your base or concealer is set before applying matte shadows so everything blends smoothly.

3. Softening the rest of the lid
I used a slightly warmer matte shade mixed with the first to brighten the rest of the lid without overshadowing the liner.
Then I added a subtle contour with a light-medium matte brown just through the crease—something close to my skin tone but slightly warmer to keep things natural and soft.

4. Lower eyeliner for definition and illusion
To define the lower lash line, I loaded a flat brush with black eyeliner and pressed it under the center of my lashes.
I then blended it toward the outer and inner corners—without reaching either edge—to leave room for extension.
Using a tiny art brush, I extended the liner just past the tear duct by about 2mm and softened the line to keep it looking like a gradient, not a harsh mark.

5. Creating the almond shape
Next, I extended the lower lash line slightly beyond the outer corner, keeping it straight and at an upward angle. This gives the illusion of a longer, lifted eye. A soft blend here helps avoid a harsh or artificial look.

6. Soft, smoky top liner
On the upper lid, I used short strokes to apply liner with the same brush. I kept the line thinner at the inner corner and thicker toward the outer edge. I then softened the top edge with the same brush for a more seamless, smoky finish.

7. Winged liner with a gap
Using my detail brush, I created a winged liner that doesn't connect with the lower lash line, leaving a distinct gap. I placed a touch of nude liner between the upper and lower lines to maintain that lifted almond illusion.

8. Lash curling for a lifted effect
To avoid drooping lashes that would ruin the liner effect, I used a small precision curler on the outer lashes for extra lift.
Then I used a full lash curler for the rest. Any pink tones exposed on the lid from curling were covered with waterproof black liner.

9. Deepening the liner with shadow
To intensify the look without thickening the liner, I stamped black matte eyeshadow at the lash roots with an angled liner brush. I used a bent-neck brush for better precision and ease of movement.

10. Strategic mascara application
I carefully avoided the outermost lashes when applying mascara to keep that space light and lifted. Same goes for the lower lashes—I only coated the middle and bottom part to preserve the nude base underneath.

11. Adding lower lash falsies
I applied four or five individual lower lash falsies, spaced evenly. These create a pretty, vintage effect reminiscent of the 1960s and elevate the whole eye look.

12. Upper lashes
For the upper lashes, I used spiky strip lashes cut into sections. I placed them with small gaps in between and glued the outermost pieces above the lash line—on the skin, not the lashes—to keep the lift and avoid hiding the cream line.

I love the way those tiny bottom lashes and the extended cream liner channel that retro, ‘60s vibe while giving the illusion of a longer, more almond-shaped eyes. Will you be trying this look? Comment down below.
